This gorgeous 19th-century confit pot is a treasure from the Languedoc region of Southern France. Crafted with terracotta and glazed with a unique, ochre yellow color, this earthenware vessel was once used daily in the French country home. It does have a crack in the handle as well as some minor chips and cracks that add to the character of the piece.
This authentic piece was sourced from the Brimfield Antique Market, where a French importer has supplied antiques from the south of France for decades.
